Monochrome Specialist X oxford [Balmorals]

Sometimes when i'm in haste or when I really don’t want to stress my head going through the hues of my staple, I just pick up a mono color [black or white outfit] and rush through. However, this is because the most common color in a man’s wardrobe is surely black. Yes! Black! LOL...Don’t bother argue with yourself or try to figure out how your wardrobe look like, whether  it accommodates black clothing’s or not. Some people feel that black is a safe option, but therein lies its beauty, it goes beyond the color ‘Black’. Black can be whatever you want it to be - whether altered, plain or high impact and low effort.  Hello my beautiful viewers, I hope you are having a stress-free day? I honestly appreciate your audience, I hope you enjoy the few minutes I am going to be spending with you. My editorial today is going to be short, precise and fun. It’s all about
M o n o c h r o m e! Monochrome!! M o n o c h r o m e!! !

To become a monochrome specialist, an artist or rather a fashion enthusiast’s must at least understand the colour wheel to properly administer to his audience. Though black will go with everything and feel appropriate for practically any item of clothing imaginable, there’s nothing as good as the timeless pairing of black but, still a basic understanding of colours and how they complement each other goes a long way in building a monochrome specialist. Nevertheless, this is where most people go wrong; it is a cliché that a monochrome outfit must be entirely black or white. Monochrome can come in different colors represented in a single color. That Single must be properly imputed creatively, when you go monochrome in black or white, you don’t just rock it  plainly like the calico meant for those mourning a loved one, even those mourning their loved ones or  relatives in this our contemporary society, don’t just rock their outfit in pure black or white, they are fashionable about it. However, in this editorial, I used a cloth, tinted in ox-blood shade around my waste to harness the transition of the rich monochrome outfit.  Majority of my friends practically laughed at the thick ropy cloth I used around my waste, they are used to the normal belts they see every day in my editorials. They feel its abnormal tying a cloth round your waste as a form of corset or belt. It is a natural phenomenon to be criticized by friends and foes, not everyone out there will admire your style of dressing, more so, I must infuse that you don’t dress to please everyone, but dress to make a difference.

In Nigeria, I have seen multi-talented lads in the fashion industry, beautiful concepts and designs, but why most of these people don’t get to be heard is because they do the same ritual over and over. You must be ready to take risk and try other ways. I cannot say that I am perfect or a specialist, I am also guilty of these flaws, but every day, we learn.  To be better, we must think outside the line. As a fashion icon, every material you find around you is very important. The thick ropy cloth around my waste was formed from a worn out skirt from my sister’s closet.  We must not forget our footwear’s. Your footwear’s goes a long way to determine the aesthetics of your outfit. My dad used to tell me that ‘Good shoes will take you to good places’. I usually used to burst out laughing anytime he says that- anytime we go to the market to bend down and select shoes for school when I was much younger in my primary school days. During the latter years of my life when I was growing up, then I understood the true meaning of that saying.  You must pay equal attention to your clothing’s and also your footwear’s. Some people really don’t care about what they wear on their feet.  In some cases, the moment we have successfully chosen our outfit, we just pick any shoe from the foot locker and run off. Your footwear’s must compliment your dressing both in color and genre. Sometimes, it’s not our dressing that is wrongly combined but the shoe, because we hardly see fault in our footwear’s because, we pay less attention to them. When rocking monochrome, not just a monochrome outfit but our outfit in general, you must be careful about the kind of shoes you wear, your shoes shouldn’t be too loud- the color of your shoes shouldn’t be too bright but calm. When your shoes overshadow your dressing in hue, then it becomes a problem, your shoes should only go loud in terms of quality or brand. Your audience shouldn’t go blind because of the color combination combined within your feet.

The oxford shoes can be occasionally called Balmorals the shoe was named Oxfords after Oxford University. I decided to use an oxford in this editorial because oxford goes with anything. It also goes with any clothing in a man’s staple, however it is unisex footwear, ladies can also have it in their footlocker. More so, your shoes must also correlate or corporate with your outfit. The oxford [shoes] in this editorial have a thing in common with the thick ropy cloth around my waste. They share the same color but the ropy cloth appears to be a darker ox-blood. They intercedes the other from the contrast of the harmful and hazardous nature of the monochrome prowess.

Thank you so much for reading guys, I appreciate your audience. I am certain that after reading this editorial, you will certainly build your way into becoming a monochrome specialist.
